Speaking during its latest quarterly earnings call, Remedy reiterated that Alan Wake 2 will be released in 2023, confirming the game’s development is progressing smoothly.
Alan Wake 2, a long-awaited sequel to the 2010 psychological thriller published by Epic Games, is in the full production stage. In 2022, the game was coming together on all fronts and will be ready for its highly anticipated launch in 2023.
Remedy previously revealed that Alan Wake is fully playable from start to finish, so it definitely sounds like production is coming along well. The studio has said that it is aiming for full-fledged survival horror with the sequel.
Alan Wake 2 has been described as Remedy’s biggest project to date, and has been a long time coming to say the least. The sequel was originally planned years ago, but Remedy instead moved on with Quantum Break and Control.
The original Alan Wake was released in 2010 for Xbox 360 and later arrived for PC. In 2021, Remedy brought the game to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S with Alan Wake Remastered.
