The game follows the same basic storyline as the original version of Resident Evil 4, which sees returning hero Leon S. Kennedy embarking on a mission to a remote village in Europe to rescue President Graham’s daughter, Ashley.

Resident Evil 4 Remake Details – What Do We Know About The Game?
Capcom revealed in a Q&A with Game Informer that Resident Evil 4 Remake will feature a New Game Plus Mode and Photo Mode. In addition, the team has revealed that a new enemy will be included in the game, and that Quick-Time Events have all but been removed. You can watch some new footage of Chapter 5 here.

The Resident Evil 4 remake is being handled by the same team that provided help on Resident Evil 3 remake. This is their first major project, and was reportedly created with tackling this project in mind. Capcom is looking to greatly expand on the story with this remake, according to Dusk Golem, who is responsible for providing much of the info we know so far.
Shinji Mikami, the creator of Resident Evil (or BioHazard as it’s known in Japan) and director on the original Resident Evil 4, has said he’s fine with the game being remade as long as it turns out good enough.
More recently, it has been revealed by members of the team in EDGE magazine that the Island location has not been cut from the game. It also sounds like there will be no other cuts from the game, although we won’t know for sure until it’s out.

This time, the game is being developed to achieve state-of-the-art quality for a survival horror suitable for 2023, while preserving the essence of the original game. We aim to make the game feel familiar to fans of the series, while also providing a fresh feeling to it. This is being done by reimagining the storyline of the game while keeping the essence of its direction, modernizing the graphics and updating the controls to a modern standard.
Elsewhere, the game’s ESRB rating has revealed that Resident Evil 4 Remake will feature in-game purchases, which may be related to planned DLC and not necessarily microtransactions. It also reveals that the game will feature a number of grisly deaths for Leon at the hands of his enemies.
