The Diablo IV Open Beta will officially kicked off on March 24, 2023, game director Joe Shely has confirmed during IGN Fan Fest over the weekend.
Those of you who preordered Diablo IV will be able to join the beta early from March 17 — 19, with the standard version running March 24 — 26. There’s no time limit during the beta, and you’ll be able to take your character until Level 25 and experience much of Diablo IV”s first act.
However, right now Blizzard hasn’t confirmed whether or not your progress will carry over to the main version of the game.
Diablo IV is scheduled for release on June 6, 2023 for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
Diablo IV takes place in the series’ world of Sanctuary, and the game picks up followed the events of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls. Players will be able to travel through five regions — Scosglen, Fractured Peaks, Dry Steppes, Hawezar and Kehjistan — and Diablo IV also includes procedurally generated dungeons, with no load time between regions and dungeons.
Blizzard have already confirmed five classes for the game: Barbarian, Sorceress, Druid, Rogue and Necromancer. Microtransactions will be featured for cosmetic times, and the game requires an Internet connection to play.
