Little Nightmares Developer Is Focussing On New IP, Confirms Embracer Group

Tarsier Studios, the creator behind the critically acclaimed Little Nightmares franchise, looks set to turn its attention to fresh IP, according to a statement from parent company Embracer Group in its latest earnings report.

Here’s what Embracer boss Lars Wingefors had to say:

Now, having that game created, they will move over to create new IPs. Tarsier studios will, from now on, focus on creating new IPs.

Little Nightmares 2 has only just come out, but it seems that there’s not much hope for a third game – at least not with Tarsier Studios at the helm. The series itself is actually the property of Bandai Namco Games, so in theory, the studio could offer Little Nightmares to another developer down the line.

Tarsier Studios was acquire by Embrace Group, which owns a ton of gaming studios under its umbrella, back in December 2019.
