Microsoft has revealed during its response to the UK Competition and Markets Authority that Electronic Arts is the biggest third-party publisher for PlayStation, not Activision.
According to the Xbox console maker, Activision ranks fifth behind EA, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, and Sony itself.
“Sony has 286 games which are exclusive to PlayStation,” Microsoft commented, adding that Sony keeps its first-party titles “almost entirely exclusive to PlayStation.” As examples, it named God of War, Spider-Man, and The Last of Us.
Last week, it was revealed that The European Commission had pushed back the provisional deadline date for its decision on Microsoft’s planned acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
Sony also recently claimed that The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield were not planned as Xbox exclusives prior to Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda, and suggests that the same thing will happen with Call of Duty should the company acquire Activision.
