Pedro Pascal, who portrays Joel Miller in HBO’s The Last of Us series, has revealed that season two of the post-apocalyptic drama is likely to begin filming this year.
Speaking in response to a question at Collidr on whether The Last of Us season two has been green-lit for filming, he said: “In the year 2023? Oh, what season are we in now? We’re getting into spring? Yes, there is a chance. Yes.”
The Last of Us HBO began airing back in January on HBO in the US and Sky Atlantic in the UK, and currently follows the events of Naughty Dog’s 2013 critically-acclaimed horror title. So far we’ve seen many characters from the games appear in the show, including Tess, Bill, Henry, Sam, Tommy and more, plus some original characters designed specifically for the TV show.
The second season of The Last of Us HBO is expected to follow the events of The Last of Us Part 2. Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie in the show, said she’s not at all concerned about critics who spoke out against the game’s story, particularly in regards to its openly gay romances.
