The Council platforms
Developed by Big Bad Wolf, and published by Focus Home Interactive, The Council is due for release on PC, PS4 and PS Vita. The recommended system requirements for the PC version have been revealed as:

The Council release date
We're currently awaiting a firm release date, but do know that Episode 1: The Mad Ones will be released in February 2018.
The Council story
The Council has been described as a story of intrigue with a cast of characters that hide some dark secrets.The developer is aiming for a murder mystery style, narrative driven adventure.
There will be five episodes in total, and we know that episode one, titled The Mad Ones, will be set in 1793. You'll play as Louis de Richet, who has aligned himself with a secret society.
He gets invited to a meeting on a private island by a man named Lord Mortimer. He's joined by some familiar names from history, including Napoleon Bonaparte and George Washington.
Each character appears to have a secret and an agenda, and when Richet's evil-looking mother goes missing on the island, it's up to you to use your detective skills to delve deeper.
The Council gameplay
Split up into episodic content, The Council gameplay will heavily involve interaction with characters in the game.
Using a mechanic known as the Social Influence system, you'll interact with characters to get to know their personalities. Each interaction requires skills such as diplomacy, and the ability to reach a character. And, your choices will affect the course of the game.
“During confrontations, skills and limited resources can be used to gain the upper hand and achieve the desired outcome. Players will be rewarded for their knowledge of each character's psychological vulnerabilities and immunities, as well as their preparations made during prior exploration and investigation,” says Big Bad Wolf.
Richet will have 15 skills that he can use to hone his detective skills and solve what appears to be a deadly mystery.
