Sony’s PS5 has had a rough ride in the UK this year due to ongoing stock shortages, but May 2022 saw the console record its best month of the year so far, with sales jumping 10% over April.
As reported by GI.biz, Sony’s latest home console is cutting in third place behind the Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch in the UK, but things are looking up as May has resulted in a strong performance from PS5 as sales pick up.

Furthermore, the DualSense also sold well last month, sitting in first place ahead of the Wired Xbox controller, with DualSense Midnight Black and Cosmic Red sitting in third and fourth place, respectively.
Console sales are overall up by 16% month-on-month to 106,000 units moved during May 2022, according to data posts by GfK.
Sony announced last week that the PS5 has now sold 20 million units worldwide following its launch in the US, UK, Europe, and other major regions in November 2020.
