Borderlands Porn Searches Have Gone Through The Roof

PornHub has dusted off some fresh numbers for you to digest, revealing over one million people searched for Borderlands porn during the launch week for Borderlands 3. In fact, these wankers (pun intended) have made the Gearbox-developed loot-shooter five times more popular than Fortnite and three times as popular as Overwatch in PornHub searches.

Borderlands 3 Launch Sees Massive Porn Search Increase

If you want to get into statistics, Borderlands 3’s launch saw results rocket by 12,905%. Blimey. Furthermore, PornHub provided an infographic to reveal what the most popular search terms were, and it seems folk are keen on ‘borderlands moxxi,’ ‘borderlands hentai,’ and ‘borderlands lilith.’ Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

Speaking on its blog, the adult website commented:

The most popular Borderlands related search is ‘Borderlands 3′ followed by ‘Borderlands Moxxi’. Other popular character related searches include ‘Lilith’, ‘Tiny [Tina]’, ‘Maya’, and ‘Gaige’. Search demographics show that men are +84% more likely to search Borderlands than women, and visitors aged 18-24 are +119% more likely to search when compared to all other age groups.

Erm, right. Well, that’s interesting to note I guess, eh? Anyway, Borderlands 3 came out on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One last Friday, and Gearbox has suggested that the loot-shooter may end up arriving on PS5 and Xbox Scarlett at some point down the line.

The Borderlands series launched back in 2009 with the much-loved original for PS3 and Xbox 360, and was recently remastered for current-generation consoles. Borderlands 2 followed in 2012, and has since been ported to the PS Vita and PS4, the latter as part of the Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, which also includes Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

The Borderlands franchise remains one of 2K’s most profitable IPs, having sold over 45 million copies worldwide as of August 2019.
