Sony Interactive Entertainment has pushed out PS5 update 21.01-03.00.00, which is a major patch for the console that includes the ability to transfer your games to an external storage device.
We installed the latest PS5 update just now and the console immediately had to ‘rebuild database’ so keep that in mind. In addition to this latest PS5 System Software update, Sony is also rolling out new updates for the PlayStation App, which allows you to join a multiplayer session for PS5.
Sony launched the PS5 in November 2020 in the US and UK, and the console already sold 4.5 million units worldwide by the end of last year.
