Blizzard Entertainment is reportedly lining up a Diablo 4 release in June 2023, with impressions on the game apparently going live later this week just ahead of The Game Awards 2022.
Tom Henderson at Insider-Gaming reports that around 100 journalists caught some behind-the-scenes footage of the game as well as going hands-on with Diablo 4. These impressions are set to go live on December 7, and attendees have been asked by Diablo boss Rod Fergusson to stay tuned to TGA for other announcements.
We’ve already heard reports that Diablo 4 is being lined up for an April 2023 release, while preorders for the game are allegedly being lined up to go live this month.
However, Cordon has now said that the launch date may actually end up being June 2023, although he’s not “100 percent sure now. Hearing two conflicting answers. My docs for April 23 might be outdated.”
He added that the announcement at The Game Awards 2022 is reportedly going to pertain to Open Beta early access, as well as pre-ordering and info on the Collector’s Edition, which apparently features a candle of some description.
Diablo 4 is currently in development for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, with a concrete release date yet to be announced.
