Fresh details on Respawn Entertainment‘s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor have surfaced in an interview with Stig Asmussen and Jason de Heras with IGN, revealing the upcoming sci-fi sequel will offer five different combat stances for players to sink their teeth into.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s single-blade stance makes a comeback, but there’s now a twin-blade stance that allows you to bring two lightsabers to the battlefield. Known as a place cannon stance, Cal will take more damage but is able to execute faster attacks and will be able to perform more combos.
Meanwhile, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor also adds a Cross Guard stance, which transforms your lightsaber into a sword-like weapon complete with hilt and is able to perform sluggish, albeit very strong attacks. The Blaster stance is self explanatory: you’ll add a blaster to your existing single-bladed sober, giving you more offence when it comes to ranged combat.
Oh, and those who enjoy a bit of Darth Maul-like shenanigans can plump for the double-bladed lightsaber stance.
Respawn previously revealed that the game will feature bigger environments with more NPCs and enemies. The team’s work on the PS5 version of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order also help contribute to Survivor’s development.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is scheduled for release on April 28, 2023 for PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S.
