Iron Gate Studios has revealed it has no plans currently to bring Valheim to PlayStation consoles, with the studio only looking at Xbox formats right now.
Speaking with on the Xbox Expansion Pass podcast, senior developer Jonathan Smars commented, “Currently, we’re only looking at the Xbox, but you never know.” Valhiem is planned for Early Access preview on Xbox, and was previously available on Steam Early Access back in February 2021.
The game proved a huge success in Early Access, becoming one of the year’s best-selling games on Steam, shifting over five million copies after one month of availability. While there’s currently no plans for a PlayStation or Nintendo Switch version of the game, Iron Gate Studios clearly hasn’t ruled anything out 100% at this point.
