Dying Light 2 developer Techland has shared art work for its upcoming fantasy-RPG.
The studio isn’t sharing many details right now but it’s clear the developer is looking to make significant deviations from its previous works. Here’s what it had to say on Twitter:
Our newest game is set to be a narrative-driven #fantasy epic with an exotic open world ready to be explored. We strive to create a compelling story-focused #AAA title that combines and refines the best aspects of gameplay that Techland is known for.
That’s about all we know about the game at present, and it’s very likely still in the early stages of development, so we probably won’t hear anything more for a while yet. The game was officially announced last year, and was confirmed to feature ex-CD Projekt RED staff on the team.
A new fantasy epic set in a sprawling open world, fueled by the skills and experience we have gained as a team over the years, infused with new ideas, passion, and creativity.
The development team includes Karolina Stachyra (Narrative Designer; previously worked at CDPR on The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt) and Arkadiusz Borowik (Narrative Lead; also previously worked on The Witcher 2 & 3).
