Rocksteady Studios rumored decision to delay the upcoming superhero title Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will not change the core game experience, according to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier.
The studio hasn’t actually announced an official delay for the game yet, but Schreier claims that it could slip into 2024. The fact the core game isn’t changing probably won’t come as a shock; Rocksteady would have to take Suicide Squad right back to the drawing board to fundamentally revamp the project otherwise.
Rocksteady has not yet announced the Suicide Squad delay, perhaps because there’s still no new date. Staff were told a few weeks ago it’s coming later this year but they still don’t know when. Possible it slips to 2024, but one thing seems certain: The core game isn’t changing.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is still pencilled in for release on May 26, 2023 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, although we’re bracing for a delay to be made official any day now.
